Barcelona seeking loophole to fast track signing of Ibrahim Diarra

An insight into the efforts of the powers that be at Barcelona to push the official signing of Ibrahim Diarra forward has today been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and points towards the youngster as having made an immediate impression on the coaching staff in Catalunya.

Diarra’s name of course took its place front and centre in the headlines at Camp Nou late last month.

This came after confirmation was forthcoming that the gifted wide-man had agreed to take his talents to Barcelona.

As part of the club’s partnership with the Africa Foot Academy, Diarra joined the Blaugrana on a trial basis, for the remainder of the year.

The Malian, for his part, is widely considered to be one of African football’s most exciting breakthrough talents, fresh off clinching Player of the Tournament honours at the U17 World Cup.

And, across the weeks since his arrival in Spain, Diarra has done his stellar reputation absolutely no harm.

In fact, the attacker has caused quite the stir in Catalunya, widely hailed for his impressive combination of touch, directness, pace, and final ball.

In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of the Barcelona brass already working towards making Diarra an official member of the club’s youth ranks.

As things stand, as much would not be permitted by FIFA until December, when he will turn 18 years of age.

As per Sport, though, both Barca and the player’s entourage are already searching for administrative loopholes, in an effort to bring forward Diarra’s registration process to the summer.

It now remains to be seen whether or not as much can be found.
