Barcelona sporting director Deco has this week ruled out summer reinforcements in three key areas of Hansi Flick’s squad.
Deco for his part sat down for an interview with RAC1 on Thursday.
During the discussion, the Portuguese was inevitably drawn on the club’s plans for the summer, amid transfer links with a whole host of players from across the continent.
Despite a hugely successful campaign in 2024/25, Barcelona are already understood to be on the lookout for fresh blood with a view to next season.
Such reinforcements, however, will not be forthcoming in a trio of specific positions.
That’s if Deco’s latest comments are anything to go by, with the former Blaugrana midfielder having confirmed:
“We’re not looking for defenders, full-backs or midfielders.”
As much leaves just the goalkeeper and attacking positions in Hansi Flick’s squad as potentially being in line for additions, with a new winger considered the most likely arrival as things stand.
