Barcelona rejected a €100 million transfer offer last summer

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona knocked back an astronomical offer for a leading member of the club’s attacking ranks last summer.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Raphinha as the player in question.

Wide-man Raphinha is of course in the midst of nothing short of a spectacular campaign to date.

Looking like a player reborn under the watch of Hansi Flick, the Brazilian has racked up 43 direct goal contributions in 40 appearances across all competitions.

And yet, as alluded to above, had Barcelona caved in the face of a big-money proposal for Raphinha last summer, things could have played out altogether differently for club and player alike.

As per a report from Relevo, Saudi outfit Al Hilal tabled an offer worth a whopping €100 million for the Blaugrana’s in-form winger last summer.

Not only that, but Raphinha was offered €15 million-per-season to take his talents to the Middle East.

Both parties ultimately thought it best to continue together, though, a decision which, evidently, has since proven the correct one.
