Barcelona receive transfer offer which would cover entire Nico Williams fee

La Liga giants Barcelona have this weekend come in for a considerable transfer offer, for a leading member of the club’s attacking ranks.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Raphinha as the player in question.

The subject of wide-man Raphinha’s future in Catalunya’s capital has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines over the course of recent weeks.

As much comes amid ongoing speculation that the Brazilian could be sacrificed, to raise the required funds to source a deal for his replacement, in Nico Williams.

Raphinha, for his part, has remained steadfast in his stance that he has absolutely no intention of going anywhere over the weeks ahead, eager as ever to prove himself in the colours of Barcelona.

But the powers that be at the Camp Nou could yet have other ideas…

This comes amid confirmation that Barcelona have indeed received an offer, which, if accepted, would cover the outlay required to activate Nico Williams’ Athletic Club release clause, and them some.

As per MD:

‘A very strong offer has arrived at the offices of the Barça club from Saudi Arabia for Raphinha and that sources from the club estimate at 65 million euros.’

It now remains to be seen how Deco and co. choose to proceed…
