La Liga giants Barcelona have received an altogether considerable transfer offer for a member of the club’s loan army.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Vitor Roque as the player in question.
Frontman Roque, of course, sealed a departure from Barcelona just this past summer.
After a hugely challenging first six months in Catalunya’s capital, the youngster was granted a move to La Liga rivals Real Betis, on a two-year loan.
And Roque has since gone on to establish himself as an important figure in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad, to the tune of seven goals and two assists in 27 appearances across all competitions to date.
In turn, it may come as something of a surprise to hear of the striker, this week, being tipped for an upcoming exit from the Benito Villamarín.
As per a report from Sport, Brazilian giants Palmeiras are more than keen to bring Roque back to his home country this month.
So much so that they have moved forward with an opening offer for his signature.
The proposal in question came in around the €27 million mark, two million more than the purchase clause in the 19-year-old’s terms with Betis.
Barcelona, in turn, are likely to be tempted into a sale, especially considering they would maintain 20% of Roque’s playing rights.
The operation, though, would be a complicated one, owing chiefly to the position of Real Betis in things.
Should a transfer not be possible this month, Palmeiras are therefore ready to return to the table upon the close of the European campaign.
