Spanish football’s two leading clubs are continuing to closely monitor the development of Mexican sensation Gilberto Mora, with a view to a future move for his signature.
Youngster Mora has for his part taken his place front and centre in the media headlines across his native Mexico over the last 24 hours. This comes after the attacking midfielder made history in the colours of his country.
En route to a 1-1 friendly draw with Colombia, Mora levelled the score during the 2nd-half, in the process becoming El Tri’s youngest ever goalscorer.
Already considered nothing short of a prodigy in Mexico owing to his remarkable talents, a number of European football’s leading clubs have long been keeping a close eye on his situation at club level.
And as alluded to above, chief amongst them, it is understood, are both Barcelona and Real Madrid. As per a report from Diario Sport, citing AS:
‘Barcelona and Real Madrid are among the teams following the evolution of the Xolos de Tijuana player. The interest of both is not new. The two have been following the footballer for a long time.’
