The respective boards at La Liga sides Barcelona and Real Betis have opened discussions regarding a potential late-window deal for a member of the midfield ranks at the former.
This comes amid the understanding that Betis have joined the hunt for out-of-favour Blaugrana midfielder Marc Casadó.
Youngster Casadó is for his part widely expected to be on the move before the summer window is out. No longer featuring in the plans of Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick, the Spanish international has been made available for transfer by the Camp Nou brass.
A whole host of clubs from across the continent, in turn, have expressed an interest in the services of a player who remains held in high regard throughout Europe.
And as alluded to above, on Monday, one such suitor have touched base with Deco and his Barca transfer team for the first time. As per a report from El Chiringuito TV:
‘Barca-Betis in contact for Marc Casadó. It could be a last-minute market option for both sides in the form of a loan.’
It is also noted that the deep-lying midfielder views a proposal on the table from German outfit Bayer Leverkusen ‘favourably’.
