Barcelona readying contract renewals for 3 key players

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have set themselves the task of tying three key members of the club’s first-team squad down to fresh terms.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have today provided the latest on developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.

The three players being lined up for fresh deals, it is understood, come in the form of Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, and Ronald Araújo.

The trio are set to see their respective contracts at the Camp Nou come to a close in the summer of 2026.

With a policy being implemented that ‘structural’ members of the club’s playing squad should if at all possible not enter into the final year of their contracts, talks with the representatives of Pedri, De Jong and Araújo have in turn been pencilled in for the coming months.

The hope is that the basic framework of extensions for all three will have been put in place before the summer transfer window swings open.
