Barcelona predicted XI vs Alaves: no debut for Wojciech Szczesny

Barcelona have travelled to Vitoria to face Deportivo Alaves in La Liga action on Sunday afternoon off the back of a 5-0 midweek win against Young Boys in the Champions League.

Sunday’s match provides Hansi Flick’s men their last opportunity for a win before the international break, and they will be hoping to continue their strong form.

The biggest team news is the fact that new signing Wojciech Szczesny is set to miss out as he has not travelled with the squad to the Basque country for the tie.

This leaves Iñaki Peña to start between the sticks, having kept two clean sheets in his last three appearances for the club.

In defence, Eric García could be set to return after missing out on the squad against Young Boys midweek due to suspension.

Alaves head into the tie with strong form at home, having gone 10 matches unbeaten at Mendizorroza, while Barcelona are in strong goalscoring form, having scored 14 goals in their last five matches.

Barcelona Predicted XI to face Alaves:

Iñaki Peña – Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsí, Iñigo Martinez, Álex Balde – Marc Casadó, Eric García, Pedri – Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski
