Barcelona pair rank 1st & 2nd in Europe’s top-5 leagues in creative statistic

Two members of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona are leading the way when it comes to shot-ending sequences in Europe’s top-5 leagues this season.

That’s according to statisticians Opta, who point towards Raphinha and Lamine Yamal as the pair in question.

Winger pair Raphinha and Lamine are of course in the midst of spectacular starts to the new campaign.

En route to victories in 13 of Barcelona’s 15 outings across all competitions, both attackers have played starring roles, courtesy of goals, assists and more.

And, as alluded to above, as much has proven enough to secure for Raphinha and Lamine a place at the very top of the standings, when it comes to the continent’s standout shot creators.

As per Opta, with 84 and 82 respectively, Barcelona’s Brazilian and Spanish wide-men ‘lead the ranking of players involved in the most shot-ending sequences in open play in the top five European leagues this season’.
