A staggering statistic surrounding the production of two leading members of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona across the early weeks of the season has come to the fore online.
The pair in question? Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.
Barcelona are of course currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with Levante. Hansi Flick’s troops headed into proceedings fresh off a spectacular opening to the campaign, having racked up a perfect five wins from five in all competitions.
And as things stand on Sunday, the Blaugrana look well on their way to another three-point haul. Owing to another explosive attacking display, the visitors lead by two goals to nil in Valencia.
The aforementioned Raphinha and Lamine, meanwhile, have again played a starring role.
The former has laid on the assists for both of Barca’s goals, whilst Lamine was responsible for adding to Xavi Espart’s early opener.
And as alluded to above, such ongoing excellence has since given rise to a head-turning statistic. As revealed by journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘Lamine Yamal and Raphinha have generated 19 G/A in 6 games in all competitions so far. 8 goals, 3 assists for Raphinha. 6 goals, 2 assists for Lamine.’
