The board at Barcelona have this week kicked into gear transfer negotiations with their counterparts at La Liga rivals Real Betis. This comes with the Blaugrana having set their sights on the signature of Verdiblancos star Natan.
The situation at the heart of Hansi Flick’s Barca backline has of course changed considerably over the course of recent days.
After Ronald Araújo made the call to take his talents to the Premier League with Liverpool, the Spanish champions have all of a sudden been left looking somewhat short on options at the back.
With as much in mind, Deco and his team of directors are understood to have begun scouring the market for potential defensive reinforcements. And as alluded to above, this search has already culminated in contacts being initiated with a fellow La Liga club this week.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, citing TNT Sports Brasil:
‘The Catalan club has begun talks with Real Betis about the possibility of negotiating a transfer for Natan.’
It is as of yet unclear whether the Blaugrana, who have previously been named as keen admirers of Natan’s talents, intend to meet Betis’ demands for their star stopper.
