The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have been put on alert by the latest developments behind the scenes at English outfit Tottenham Hotspur.
This comes after a final call was made on the future of Cristian ‘Cuti’ Romero in North London.
As per a report from journalist and transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, amid long-standing speculation surrounding the name of the Argentine:
‘Cuti Romero will leave Tottenham this summer.’
The all-action defender is understood to have been offered to Italian champions Inter Milan, during discussions between the Nerazzurri and Spurs over a potential deal for Djed Spence.
And news of these developments will no doubt have quickly spread amongst those in a position of power at the aforementioned Barcelona.
Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at the heart of defence for next season, the Blaugrana have long been credited with a keen interest in Romero.
Deco and co. may need to act quickly, though, or risk the World Cup winner taking his talents back to Italy.
