Barcelona midfielder Carles Aleñá is close to finalising a loan move to Getafe, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 22-year-old has agreed to sign for the Madrid club and the two clubs have been negotiating on Monday to complete the deal. It is expected that an agreement will be in place in the next few hours so that Aleñá is ready to join José Bordalás’ squad for the next matchday.

Aleñá’s intention is to be able to play this weekend against Huesca. The former Barcelona youth team player had other options on the table; two clubs in Spain and one Italian team. Aleñá spent last season on loan to Real Betis and due to his lack of minutes under Ronald Koeman this season, has opted for another loan move.
