La Liga champions Barcelona have kicked into gear an assault on the signature of Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi.
This comes with the youngster having been earmarked as a potential long-term answer to the club’s search for a new centre-forward.
It is of course common knowledge that those in a position of power at the Camp Nou are actively searching for striker reinforcements with a view to next season.
With Robert Lewandowski’s contract up, and speculation surrounding the future of Ferran Torres, Barca are expected to bring in at least one new goalscorer this summer.
And as alluded to above, early this week, Deco and co. are understood to have made their first move for one of the leading names on the Blaugrana’s shortlist.
As per a report from journalist Adrian Sanchez:
‘Barça have made a move for Junior Kroupi. The 19-year-old forward from Bournemouth is valued at 100M€.’
Kroupi is for his part fresh off something of a breakout campaign on the books of Bournemouth, after finding the net 13 times in 33 Premier League appearances.
