As much comes just days on from links between club and player spreading in the media.
The Reds star in question comes in the form of Darwin Núñez.
This past weekend, word was forthcoming in the press in England that frontman Núñez has made his way firmly onto the radar of the transfer team at Barcelona.
This comes amid further claims that the Blaugrana could attempt to cash in on the aging Robert Lewandowski in the summer.
Núñez, for his part, only added to the speculation surrounding his name on Monday, in suddenly removing all Liverpool-related content from his official social media platforms.
And, as alluded to above, 24 hours on, the former Benfica standout has set the chatter surrounding his name into overdrive.
Amid the ongoing rumours linking him with a move to La Liga, Núñez has been spotted in the city of Barcelona.
The 24-year-old appears to have paid a visit to fellow countryman and friend Ronald Araújo, who unveiled a photo of he and Núñez on Instagram on Tuesday evening:
