A former member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has today thrown his backing behind Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga.
As much comes amid the suggestion that the Frenchman will go on to play an even more prominent role for Real next season.
Camavinga, this past season, found himself in and out of the starting XI in Spain’s capital, featuring from the off in 21 of Los Blancos’ La Liga outings, and nine of 13 in the Champions League.
This of course came amid fierce competition for places in the middle of the park at the Santiago Bernabéu.
With Toni Kroos having since opted to call time on his legendary career, however, minutes will certainly be up for grabs for the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s engine room ranks.
And of the opinion that Camavinga is one player ready to take advantage of this opportunity comes in the form of Cesc Fàbregas.
Speaking in an interview with Defensa Central, ex-Arsenal and Barcelona standout Fabregas, now coach at Serie A-bound Como, was asked for his take on the midfield situation at Real Madrid.
And the 37-year-old went on to reply:
“I think Camavinga will be a starter for Real Madrid next season.”
