Barcelona left ‘outraged’ by Real Madrid ahead of El Clásico

The powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona have been left completely bemused by the actions, or rather lack thereof, on the part of rivals Real Madrid on Sunday evening.

This, of course, comes ahead of the impending showdown between the two clubs.

The latest edition of El Clásico is set to play out in short order, at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Barcelona’s squad, coaching staff and more, in turn, earlier today made their way to the Spanish capital.

Upon their arrival, however, the Blaugrana party were shocked by the lack of security awaiting them, for their journey.

The usual protocol for the club’s visits to Madrid, as per Diario Sport, is that Barca are afforded an escort by National Police agents to their team hotel.

On Sunday afternoon, however, no such escort was provided.

And this culminated in problems for Xavi’s squad at the Intercontinental Hotel on Paseo de la Castellana, where it is noted that more than 200 fans had gathered.

The supporters in question swarmed the Barcelona team bus, culminating in the kind of ‘chaos’ which would usually be avoided in the presence of appropriate security measures.

The Barca party, as a result, have been left ‘outraged’, adding yet further spice to what will no doubt be a fiery affair at the Bernabéu on Sunday night.
