Barcelona are in talks with Álvaro Morata, according to AS.
Morata is Xavi’s number one target for the centre forward role at Barcelona this season. Talks with the Atlético Madrid player, on loan at Juventus, are at an advanced stage, both with the player and his agent, Juanma Lopez, although the deal has yet to be finalised with the two clubs involved.
Xavi called Morata to find out about his current situation. The player has reportedly admitted that he is not happy at Juventus and that he would go to Barcelona. According to the report, Xavi has promised the Spain international that his intention is to keep him for more than a six-month loan.
