Barcelona hit one unwanted mark for the first time in 10 years vs Real Sociedad

A head-turning statistic, highlighting the woes of Barcelona during the club’s meeting with Real Sociedad, has tonight come to the fore online.

This, of course, comes fresh off an outing to forget for Hansi Flick’s side.

Barca marked their return to action a short time ago, making the trip to Anoeta for a La Liga meeting with the aforementioned Real Sociedad.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana saw their seven-game win streak brought to an end in unceremonious fashion, by way of a 1-0 defeat.

And, en route to as much, Flick’s men secured for themselves an altogether unwanted benchmark. This came owing to their struggles in carving out goalscoring opportunities.

As revealed by statisticians Sofascore:

‘Barcelona have played 355 matches in LaLiga over the last ten seasons. Tonight was the first time in those 355 matches they’ve failed to record a single shot on target.’
