Barcelona have ‘practically completed’ big-name free agent signing for next summer

La Liga giants Barcelona have all but closed an agreement for the club’s first signing of the 2025 summer transfer window.

That’s according to Jijantes, who point towards Jonathan Tah as the player all set to take his talents to Catalunya’s capital.

The name of defender Tah has of course long taken its place centre stage in the transfer headlines in Spain.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that the German international, set to be available for free next summer upon the expiration of his contract with Bayer Leverkusen, has made his way to the top of the transfer wishlist at the aforementioned Barcelona.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at the heart of defence, Tah is considered the ideal cut-price addition.

And, if the latest word stemming from the Spanish media on Thursday is anything to go by, then the Blaugrana appear to have positioned themselves at the very front of the queue for the stopper.

As per a report from Jijantes, Deco and his team held a meeting with Tah’s entourage in the city of Cologne earlier today.

And the talks proved hugely productive, to the point that ‘the operation, after the aforementioned meeting, is practically completed and both parties are very happy’.
