The transfer team at La Liga giants Barcelona have drawn up a shortlist of targets to reinforce the wide areas of Hansi Flick’s squad with a view to next season.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into developments behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Barcelona, of course, spent much of this past summer working to secure winger reinforcements.
This came amid the widespread consensus at the Camp Nou that new boss Flick’s squad was not sufficiently stocked in the attacking third.
In the end, no such arrival was forthcoming, with Raphinha and Lamine Yamal having since eased concerns by way of stellar starts to the campaign.
But Barca’s search for fresh blood has not been brought to an end as a result.
As per Sport:
‘Barça were left with the desire last summer to incorporate a differential player on the left wing. There was no possible way to fit the arrival of a great player with the salary cap problems, but both Hansi Flick and the sporting area are clear that they have to try again.’
Not only that, but a list of possible reinforcements has already been drawn up, featuring the names of all of Mohamed Salah, Nico Williams, Leroy Sané, Rafael Leão, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
