La Liga giants Barcelona have on Tuesday been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that a member of the club’s defensive ranks has been deemed well enough to link back up with his teammates in group training.
The player in question? Julián Araujo.
Right-back Araujo, for his part, secured a return to Catalunya’s capital earlier in the summer, after a largely successful stint on loan with Las Palmas.
The Mexican had since been forced to train away from the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad, however.
As much came amid ongoing efforts to recover from an injury blow suffered in the closing weeks of the 2023/24 campaign.
And, evidently, this week, Araujo has managed precisely that.
As per a report from Diario Sport:
‘He had been training alone, waiting for the medical services to give him the go-ahead to return to group training. This morning, the time finally came.’
With João Cancelo’s return to the Camp Nou remaining completely up in the air, Araujo will now set about proving himself worthy of being one of Hansi Flick’s right-back options for the season ahead.
