Barcelona handed fitness boost before PSG

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday been afforded a welcome boost on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Andreas Christensen is set to be available for the club’s next outing.

Versatile defender Christensen, for his part, was forced to sit out last night, as Barcelona put Las Palmas to the sword by a goal to nil.

This came owing to an ongoing Achilles issue, which also culminated in the former Chelsea man pulling out of international duty with Denmark last week.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, though, Christensen was back in training alongside the rest of Xavi’s squad on Sunday morning.

He is therefore expected to be ready to feature from the off, when Barcelona turn attentions back towards matters on the continent.

With a full 10 days of rest under their belts, the Blaugrana will next take to the pitch on Wednesday, April 10th, in the first leg of their highly-anticipated Champions League quarter-final tie with Paris Saint-Germain.
