Barcelona handed double boost as pair return to training on eve of Mallorca clash

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday welcomed two important players back into group training in Catalunya’s capital.

The pair in question? Alejandro Balde, and Dani Olmo.

Defender Balde was for his part forced into a premature departure from Barcelona’s weekend meeting with Las Palmas, after suffering a heavy blow to the neck.

Midfielder Olmo, meanwhile, sat out the clash entirely, with what boss Hansi Flick later went on to describe as ‘discomfort’.

The two Spanish internationals were therefore considered immediate doubts to feature in the Blaugrana’s swift return to competitive action, against Mallorca on Tuesday.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper this afternoon is anything to go by, then those of a Barca persuasion need not fret.

This comes with Balde and Olmo having both trained as normal with Hansi Flick’s squad, as did long-term absentee Ronald Araújo.
