Barcelona forward Martin Braithwaite has offer from Serie A club

According to Goal, Martin Braithwaite has an offer from a Serie A club. The Danish striker, who is also of interest to Valencia, could be set to leave Barcelona this summer.

Braithwaite, who will turn 31 on 5 June, knows that he is not in Xavi Hernández’s plans. He has only used him twice since he became Barça coach: 12 minutes in extra time in the Copa del Rey quarter-final against Athletic Club on 20 January and 11 minutes against Osasuna (4-0) on 13 March. Since then, the former Leganés forward has not played at all.

On 16 September, he underwent surgery on a femoropatellar injury in his left knee, which kept him out for four months. Last summer he could have left after a great European Championship with Denmark, starting all six games, but the absence of Sergio Agüero, Ousmane Dembélé and Ansu Fati through injury and Antoine Griezmann leaving on loan meant that he had to remain in Ronald Koeman’s squad.

He is under contract with Barça until 2024.
