La Liga giants Barcelona have set their sights on the signature of a highly-regarded up-and-coming talent at Borussia Dortmund.
The player in question? Samuele Inácio.
Inácio, for his part, is an 18-year-old Italian youth international, who linked up with Dortmund from Atalanta back in the summer of 2024.
The starlet can take to the pitch in a variety of attacking roles, from an advanced midfield berth to the wing or even centre-forward.
Inácio is considered a potential future star in the making at Signal Iduna Park, giving rise to a quartet of Bundesliga appearances across the season to date.
And as alluded to above, such exploits have not gone unnoticed in La Liga, specifically behind the scenes at Barcelona.
As per a report from Diario Sport, citing German outlet BILD:
‘The Blaugrana club are especially interested in the player and Dortmund fear that they may lose one of their strategic players from the academy.’
The Camp Nou brass view Inácio as a bet for the future, ready to launch an assault on his signature as early as this summer.
Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain are also keeping a close eye on the situation.
