The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona consider Aston Villa star Emiliano Martínez a potential signing for the upcoming summer transfer window.
That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.
The subject of the goalkeeper situation has of course proven an increasingly prominent one in the chatter surrounding Barcelona over recent days.
This comes amid mounting murmurs that, owing to the ongoing uncertainty regarding the future of Wojciech Szczęsny, and waning confidence in the talents of Marc-André ter Stegen, the Blaugrana could dip into the market for reinforcements between the posts for next season.
The Barca faithful, in turn, will no doubt be interested to hear of one such potential goalkeeper target having been earmarked by Deco and co.
As per a report from El Chiringuito TV:
‘At Barca, they do not rule out the option of Dibu Martínez for the goal.’
World Cup winner Martínez is widely expected to be on the move this summer, with Barcelona waiting in the wings in the case of Szczęsny or Ter Stegen moving on.
