Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has revealed in an interview with Canal Football Club that he held talks with Lyon in the last transfer window.
The French international was one of the main targets of Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas, but the move did not materialise due to the defender’s high salary demands.
“Lyon is my team. It is my city. It is the team that has given me the opportunity to play in Europe, in Barcelona and with the French national team. There were discussions with them during the transfer window, but there was never anything concrete with the club.“
