Arnau Tenas has been a Barcelona player his whole life. He is the captain and starting goalkeeper for Barcelona’s reserve team and this season he was also the third-choice keeper for the first team under Xavi.
Barcelona have however decided to let his contract run down, according to Relevo. Tenas is currently away with the Spanish national team, for the U-21 European Championships, where he is the starting goalkeeper for the side and has kept two clean sheets in two games so far.
Tenas has also revealed the news in a press conference and said, “It has come out that Barça are not renewing my contract. It is true and I can confirm it. Now my team is the national team and I’m focused on this.”
The 22-year-old Spanish keeper is not short of offers. Real Betis are keen on acquiring his services and there is also interest from the Premier League.
