Barcelona could welcome back two key players vs Real Betis

The coaching staff at La Liga giants Barcelona are hopeful of having two leading members of the club’s first-team ranks back available for selection next weekend.

The Blaugrana pair in question? Raphinha, and Frenkie de Jong.

Both attacker Raphinha and midfielder De Jong missed out on Saturday evening, as Barcelona kicked their campaign back into gear courtesy of a comfortable victory over Getafe.

In the case of the former, this came owing to a muscular issue suffered during the recent international break. The latter, meanwhile, is yet to take to the pitch this season, after picking up a serious knee injury at the World Cup.

As alluded to above, though, upon Barca taking to the pitch for their next domestic outing, against Real Betis next weekend, both are in line to return.

Hansi Flick recently confirmed that Raphinha was in line to sit out against only Getafe and Galatasaray, whilst, according to Mundo Deportivo:

‘Flick hopes to be able to call up D Jong for the game against Betis on Saturday the 17th, so he is now in the final stretch of his complete recovery.’
