La Liga giants Barcelona are mulling over the possibility of bringing Jan Virgili back to the club this summer.
This would come with a view to selling the winger on for a profit over the weeks to follow.
For those not aware, youngster Virgili has over the last week emerged as a serious market opportunity for his former employers at Barcelona.
Following RCD Mallorca’s relegation to the 2nd tier of Spanish football, the Blaugrana have been afforded the chance to bring their former youth talent back to Catalunya’s capital for just €7 million.
With Virgili’s market value now considered to be over double this sum following a stellar campaign at Son Moix, Deco and co. have been drawn to the situation.
So much so that, according to Diario Sport:
‘After the Balearic team’s relegation to the Second Division, Barca are considering recovering the Vilassar de Mar player, even if it is not to play in Hansi Flick’s team.’
Amid outside interest from the likes of Serie A outfit Como, the Spanish champions are debating the merits of activating their buyback clause on Virgili, before selling the 19-year-old on at a profit.
