Barcelona consider Liverpool star a ‘priority’ signing

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona have identified a member of the attacking ranks at Liverpool as a ‘priority’ signing for the summer transfer window.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Luis Díaz as the player in question.

Díaz, of course, has been tipped as a potential arrival in Catalunya’s capital for some time now.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements out wide, Deco and the Barcelona transfer team are understood to have earmarked the former Porto man as the ideal profile.

To the point that, as alluded to above, ‘the rise in the salary limit for the Blaugrana favours the arrival of the Colombian attacker from Liverpool. It is a priority’.

It is also noted that Díaz does not want to renew the terms of his current Liverpool contract, which is due to expire in the summer of 2027.

So keen is the player on a move to Barcelona, it is claimed, that ‘the player’s entourage has contacted the Blaugrana club to see if an operation could be organised in agreement with Liverpool’.
