Barcelona confirm the nature of Lamine Yamal’s injury

This has been an awful international break for injuries within the Spanish national team. First, there were players like Ferran Torres, Nico Williams and Bryan Gil who didn’t even make it to the Spain camp, now they are getting injured when playing for La Roja.

Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal is one such player. He was seen limping after Spain’s tie against Denmark, and now his club have confirmed that the 17-year-old has sustained an injury.

Per Barcelona’s socials, Yamal suffered a hamstring strain in his left leg, but the club has not given any information on how long his recovery may be.

A milder hamstring strain can keep players out for eight to ten days, while a moderate injury could be around three weeks of recovery.

Given that the winger was still limping around on the affected leg, it is likely that this injury is not a more serious one, which would put him out of action for over a month.

Barcelona fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that their golden boy will be back in action for the club sooner rather than later.
