Barcelona ‘closing’ on David Oduro deal

La Liga giants Barcelona are on the verge of reinforcing the club’s defensive ranks at youth level.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards David Oduro as the player all set to take his talents to Catalunya’s capital.

Oduro, for his part, is an 18-year-old defender, who generally operates at left-back.

An U20 international with Ghana, the starlet is held in altogether high regard in his home country, where he currently plies his club trade with Accra Lions.

And, evidently, word of Oduro’s reputation has made its way to Spain…

This comes amid claims that the youngster is primed to link up with one of La Liga’s leading clubs, in Barcelona.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:

‘Barça are closing in on deal for 2006 born left back David Oduro from Accra Lions, joining the Academy. He’s the first player ever to sign for Barça directly from Ghana, agreement in place.’
