Barcelona are very close to reaching an agreement on personal terms with Villarreal right-back Juan Foyth, according to Gerard Romero.
Villarreal are now considering signing a new right-back to replace the Argentina international.
Barcelona began talks with Foyth’s agent earlier this week regarding a possible transfer this summer. Xavi does not plan to use Sergiño Dest this season and the Blaugrana failed to sign César Azpilicueta from Chelsea.
Speaking in an interview that was reported by Relevo, Unai Emery said he believes that Foyth is happy at the club and is not looking to move elsewhere.
“He is very happy here. He is very grateful to the club and that gives me a lot of peace of mind,” Emery said.
