Barcelona chief sends message to Pep Guardiola ahead of Real Madrid meeting

Barcelona vice president Rafa Yuste on Tuesday sent a public message the way of Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola.

This of course comes as Guardiola prepares to guide his troops into a highly-anticipated showdown with Barca’s arch rivals, Real Madrid.

During a public appearance this afternoon, the aforementioned Yuste was inevitably asked for his take on Wednesday’s Bernabéu matchup.

And though the Spaniard did not delve too deep into the topic, he did explain with a wry smile that:

“Pep already knows what he has to do tomorrow…”

Turning focus towards matters closer to home, Yuste also highlighted the ever-improving situation in Hansi Flick’s squad, fresh off the Blaugrana extending their advantage atop the La Liga table to four points over the weekend:

“Barça are recovering the best feelings. Players have been recovering over the last few weeks and we only look at ourselves and trust ourselves. We are going step by step because the objective is to have a good season.”
