Barcelona boss Hansi Flick’s no.1 attacking target confirmed

An insight into the plans of new Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick for the summer transfer window has today been forthcoming online.

The info comes courtesy of Diario Sport, and surrounds Flick’s preferred target to reinforce his frontline.

It is of course common knowledge that Barcelona are on the lookout for fresh blood out wide, with a view to next season.

With Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski having already locked down two of the three spots in the Blaugrana’s attack, a new profile is being sought on the left flank.

To date, a whole host of names have been tipped as potential arrivals in Catalunya’s capital.

As alluded to above, though, for new boss Flick, there is a clear priority target.

As per Sport, during a recent meeting between the German and sporting director Deco, the club’s transfer plans took their place front and centre in discussions.

And the former made use of the opportunity to make clear that he wants to have Nico Williams at his disposal next season.

Flick is said to be ‘in love’ with the game of the Athletic Club standout, considering him the ideal profile to round out his attacking trident.

There is also consensus behind the scenes at the Camp Nou that Williams should be heavily sought out over the coming weeks and months, albeit with the operation set to depend entirely on Barcelona’s financial situation.
