Barcelona boosted by return of two players to training

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday been reinforced by a pair of key players.

The pair in question? Eric García and Pau Cubarsí.

Both Eric and Cubarsí, of course, had been absent from the first-team ranks in Catalunya’s capital for several weeks now.

As much came owing to their respective endeavours on the international front, with the two defenders having been afforded call-ups to Spain’s squad for the Olympic Games.

La Roja ultimately marched on to glory at the tournament, securing a gold medal, with Eric and Cubarsí having both played starring roles at the heart of defence.

All of a Barcelona persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be excited to hear that the duo, who built quite the partnership over recent weeks, are now back at the disposal of manager Hansi Flick.

As revealed in a series of posts across the Blaugrana’s social media platforms, on Sunday, Eric and Cubarsí were back in training at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

As much reiterates the commitment of the Olympic champions to the cause at the Camp Nou, in coming less than 48 hours on from Spain’s 5-3 showpiece downing of France.
