A highly-regarded member of the academy setup at La Liga giants Barcelona is set for an incoming departure from the club.
That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Aron Yaakobishvili as the player in question.
The name of goalkeeper Yaakobishvili will likely be one familiar to close followers of ongoings in the first-team ranks at Barcelona.
This comes with the Hungarian having actually been called up for matchday duties by Blaugrana head coach Hansi Flick on four occasions this season.
As much came on the back of the long-term injury suffered by Marc-André ter Stegen.
Demoted back to Juvenil A duties following Diego Kochen’s return to fitness, though, Yaakobishvili was left with a decision to make: either renew his contract, or seek out a more prominent role elsewhere.
And, as alluded to above, the 18-year-old has in the end opted for the latter route.
As per a report from Relevo:
‘The Hungarian goalkeeper has already moved to find a new project. Either in winter or summer, when his contract expires, he will leave La Masia.’
