Barcelona beat out La Liga rivals Real Madrid as the highest earners through jersey sales across the year of 2023.
That’s according to UEFA, who have this week provided an insight into the leading clubs in Europe when it comes to kit revenue.
As part of an annual report carried out on the financial landscape of football on the continent, UEFA recently unveiled an in-depth dossier, featuring fascinating figures surrounding a whole host of noteworthy topics.
Since piquing the most widespread attention, though, have been the figures on shirt sales.
This comes with Spanish football’s two biggest clubs, despite the commercial dominance being enjoyed by the Premier League across the globe, leading the way by some distance.
Top of the pile are Barcelona, who, as cited by ESPN, generated a hefty €179 million through jersey sales across the length of 2023.
This is some €24 million more than was managed by 2nd-placed Real Madrid, with €155 million.
German heavyweights Bayern Munich round out the podium places, followed by Premier League pair Liverpool, and Manchester United.
