Barcelona are set to make an offer for Sevilla’s Jules Koundé

As communicated by Relevo, Barcelona are set to submit an official bid to sign Jules Koundé this transfer window.

Last Thursday Chelsea submitted a bid valued €64.7 million for the Frenchman. However, it was reported that Chelsea are not currently prioritising the completion of the transfer and may pull out of the negotiations altogether.

While there is still no official bid from the Blaugrana, the club are preparing to present an offer today to the Andalucían side.

Koundé has always maintained that his preferred destination would be Barcelona, and it appears that Sevilla are willing to wait for the club to submit a bid.

It is believed that Xavi’s desire to see the French defender play for Barça has been key to keep the club in the race to sign the 23-year-old.

Earlier it was communicated that Barcelona are considering to sign either Athletic Bilbao’s Iñigo Martínez or Chelsea’s César Azpilicueta.
