La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Andreas Christensen is set for another incoming spell on the sidelines.
Defender Christensen has for his part taken to the pitch in a competitive setting just once this season, all the way back in August.
This comes after the Danish international was forced under the knife to deal with a long-term Achilles concern.
Fresh off a return to fitness earlier this month, it will in turn come as a blow to club and player alike to learn that Christensen is now set to be sidelined once more.
As per an announcement across Barcelona’s website and social media platforms on the eve of the club’s Champions League showdown with Atalanta:
‘First team player Andreas Christensen suffered a right soleus injury during Monday’s training session. He will be out for approximately three weeks.’
