La Liga giants Barcelona have on Sunday confirmed a blow on the personnel front in Hansi Flick’s squad.
This comes amid confirmation that Dani Olmo is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Barcelona were of course back in action last night, having made the trip to the Estadio Coliseum for a La Liga meeting with Getafe.
Olmo, for his part, was introduced off the bench during the 2nd-half, with his side in search of a winner.
En route to an eventual 1-1 stalemate, however, the Spanish international, amid something of a stop-and-start campaign back in Catalunya’s capital, picked up an injury.
As per a statement across Barcelona’s website and social media platforms:
‘Barça player Dani Olmo has a right soleus strain. He is out for the next match and his return will be determined by his recovery.’
Olmo, in turn, will not be available for selection on Tuesday night, when Hansi Flick’s men turn attentions back towards matters on the continent in a Champions League showdown with Portuguese heavyweights Benfica.
