Barcelona and Sevilla come to an agreement in principle regarding Jules Koundé transfer

As it appeared on Barcelona’s official website, the club and Sevilla have reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Jules Koundé.

The Frenchman landed in Barcelona’s El Prat airport this afternoon to complete his transfer.

The official announcement will come once Koundé passes his medical and signs his contract.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the deal includes a €50 million transfer fee, as well as add-ons.

This is lower than the bid submitted by Chelsea, however, the 23-year-old defender expressed his desire to play for Barcelona over the West London club.

Earlier it was communicated that Xavi made Koundé his number one target this transfer window and now it appears that the Blaugrana coach got the man he wanted.

It now appears very unlikely that Barcelona will make a move for Iñigo Martínez.

As communicated earlier today, Sevilla are eyeing up Thilo Kehrer from PSG as a potential replacement for Koundé.
