Barcelona already know their next first-team sale

The brass at La Liga champions Barcelona have already identified the next member of the club’s first-team ranks whom they plan to part with on a permanent basis before the summer is out.

The Blaugrana star on the exit ramp in Catalunya’s capital? Marc Casadó.

Midfielder Casadó has of course been heavily linked with a move away from the Camp Nou this summer. Out of the plans of boss Hansi Flick, the 22-year-old has been identified as a necessary source of funds by Deco and the Barca brass.

To this point in the window, an offer deemed as appropriate has not landed on the desks at the Ciutat Esportiva. But as alluded to above, Barca evidently remain hopeful of ultimately receiving as much before the summer is out.

As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano, fresh off sanctioning youngster Tommy Marqués’ sale to Portuguese outfit SC Braga:

‘Marc Casadó, the next one to leave Barcelona. No talks with Al Hilal despite reports. More options open with his agent Jorge Mendes on it.’
