Barca Atlètic head coach Albert Sánchez has revealed his take that youngster Dani Rodríguez possesses the required traits to make the step up to first-team duties at the club.
This comes fresh off an outing to remember for the attacker on Sunday.
Introduced off the bench with Barca Atlètic trailing by two goals to nil in a meeting with Celta de Vigo II, Dani went on to steal the show.
After first pulling one back for the Blaugrana courtesy of a sumptuous bending effort early in the 2nd-half, the 19-year-old added a decisive equaliser a short time later, to ensure a share of the spoils for his side.
Speaking to the media on the back of the full-time whistle at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, the name of his talented young winger was in turn quickly put to the aforementioned Albert Sánchez.
And Barca Atlètic’s boss made use of the opportunity to reveal his hope that Dani will in the not-so-distant future be afforded the chance to shine on the senior stage:
“I hope Dani gets the chance [to play with the first-team]. That’s what we’re here for. He’s a Barça-style winger. He has a lot of potential.”
