Atlético Madrid’s Jan Oblak trains alone

Jan Oblak is currently training on his own and is unable to join the sessions of the whole squad, report AS.

The Slovenian goalkeeper was injured following a collision with Reinildo Mandava in Atlético Madrid’s Champions League fixture with Porto last week.

He was not fit to start against Celta Vigo on the weekend and despite flying to Germany with the rest of the squad for Los Colchoneros’ match against Bayer Leverkusen midweek, he was unable to make the starting XI and Ivo Grbić stood between the sticks instead.

The 29-year-old did some exercises with the ball today, but he was seen limping and appeared to be in pain every time he had to go to ground.

Whether or not Oblak will train tomorrow will depend on how his recovery progresses, but it seems very unlikely that he will be able to make an appearance in the derby against Real Madrid on Sunday.
