Atlético Madrid’s fans send message to Diego Simeone & players after Las Palmas win

Supporters of Spanish giants Atlético Madrid today made use of the opportunity to send a clear message to the club, regarding their hopes for the remainder of the season.

Atlético, of course, marked their return to action earlier this evening.

Desperate for a return to winning ways after a pair of successive defeats across all competitions, the Rojiblancos welcomed Las Palmas to Madrid, for a La Liga clash.

And, when all was said and done, bounce back is precisely what Atléti managed, in some style.

Owing to goals on the part of all of Marcos Llorente (2), Ángel Correa (2), and Memphis Depay, the capital outfit marched on to an eventual 5-0 triumph at the Wanda Metrpolitano.

And yet, post-match, a large contingent of the home fans in attendance at the clash made clear that they remain some way from satisfied.

Atlético will turn attentions back towards matters in Europe this week, when they make the trip to San Siro, for a Champions League showdown with Serie A high-flyers Inter Milan.

And, ahead of the San Siro clash, the club’s supporters reiterated their desperation for long-awaited European success.

“The Champions League is my obsession,” the Atléti crowd boomed, as their side’s players and staff took to the pitch to applaud their latest efforts:
