Atlético Madrid will allow João Félix to leave in January if a club can meet his price tag

Atlético Madrid will not stand in the way of João Félix’s departure if a club can meet his price tag, report AS.

The Portuguese international, who arrived to the club for a record fee of €127m in 2019, has fallen out of favour at the Estadio Metropolitano, with Los Colchoneros’ CEO Miguel Ángel Gil Marín openly stating that the club are willing to part way with Félix if the right offer comes in:

“I would love him to continue but the relationship between the coach and him, the minutes played, the motivation, the current moment, makes me think that the reasonable thing is that if there is a good option for the player, for the club, we will at least analyse it.”

Atlético Madrid have put a €100m price tag on Félix, which only certain clubs can meet. Previously it was communicated that Bayern Munich and Manchester United are interested in signing the 23-year-old in January. With Gabriel Jesus’ injury, Arsenal have also entered the race to secure the services of the Portuguese forward.
